The Root Cellar is home to Missouri's bounty of fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, dairy, dried, and canned goods. Our products tell the story of Missouri's farmers: rice from the Bootheel, bacon and beef from the plains, and salad greens from the rolling hills of the Missouri River.
We develop personal relationships with each and every one of our farmers. Because we source locally, the Root Cellar is able to provide the finest and freshest selection of Missouri's goods and produce from our convenient location in the heart of downtown Columbia.
Our farmers specialize in committed care for the land and believe deeply in the need to produce vegetables, grains, fruits, and meats without unnecessary harm. We know and love them all: young and old, rural and urban, greenhouse operator and shepherd.
